At Metalco Ltd, safety is our top priority. We are fully committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with Malta’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (Cap. 646) and the guidance of the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA).

Our approach includes comprehensive risk assessments, continuous staff training, strict adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and proactive measures to protect all employees, contractors, and visitors. Given that our operations involve heavy machinery and material handling, we maintain rigorous safety standards, clear operational procedures, and regular inspections, while fostering a culture of vigilance and mutual care among our team.

We have appointed one dedicated Health and Safety Officer to oversee and ensure smooth and safe operations across all activities. Throughout the year, we conduct fire drills, perform regular fire extinguisher checks, and have designated fire wardens to manage emergencies. All machinery is regularly inspected and certified, always ensuring safe operation. Additionally, first aiders are always on-site, and fully stocked first aid kits are strategically placed throughout the facility for immediate access.

Visitors and customers are required to sign in with a designated staff member and follow all safety instructions while on site. For safety reasons, children and pets are not permitted within the facility.
